UAMS Pat & Willard Walker Family Memory Research Center
(formerly the UAMS Alzheimer's Disease Center)

Most adults in America can relate to Alzheimer's disease (AD), the leading form of dementia, because they know someone affected by the disease, (e.g., family member, friend, co-worker, or neighbor). As the baby boomers gray, AD will affect increasing numbers of Americans. The good news is that older adults can participate in research to help find a cure, whether or not they have a memory problem.

The UAMS Memory Research Center in Little Rock, Arkansas is one of 32 Alzheimer’s Disease Centers funded by the National Institute on Aging (National Institutes of Health) across the United States conducting research on Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
